Dear Students, I welcome you all to the SAL EDUCATION FAMILY with great amount of joy and grace to learn and explore the profession of PHARMACY. It is an integral part of health care system, expanding up the horizon and setting a new trend with respect to the educational system and career opportunities. SALIP is established under the aegis of Adarsh Foundation in 2009 with the aim of promoting excellence in Pharmaceutical education and research. Since its inception, SALIP has been at the forefront of providing education in a highly professional set up adhering to global standards and setting bench marks based on demands from the pharmaceutical industry. SALIP has a magnificent standing of 14 years and continues to evolve as one of the most reputed and best Pharmacy Colleges in Gujarat, India.

We want our students to be immersed in the welcoming environment of an educational community dedicated to then pursuit and production of knowledge that will serve the, pharmaceutical industries, government agencies, health care community, fellow pharmacists and community at large. India’s pharmaceutical industry has grown by leaps and bounds in the last three decades. India is a prominent and rapidly growing presence in the global pharmaceutical industry. It is the largest provider of generic medicines globally, occupying a 20% share in global supply by volume and also supplies 62% of global demand for vaccines. India ranks at 3rd position worldwide for production by volume and 14th by value. It has the highest number of US-FDA compliant Pharma plants outside of USA and is home to more than 3000 pharma companies with a strong network of more than 10500 manufacturing facilities. The pharmaceutical industry in India is currently valued at $41.7 bn. It is expected to reach $ 65 bn by 2024 and to $120 bn by 2030. This rapid growth in pharmaceutical sector is creating thousands of job opportunity every year.

Pharmacy profession has expanded immensely in terms of opportunities in roles of pharmacist in Clinical Research, Nanotechnology, Pharmacovigilance, Phytopharmaceuticals & Nutraceuticals, Drug discovery and Molecular Biology, Managed care settings and Clinical care centers, Personalized medicine, Patient counseling, Academia and independent research institutes, Chain and independent pharmacies, Hospital and institutional Pharmacies to promote health and prevent disease. An understanding of these developments and capacity to analyze and respond to such changes are some of the capabilities that are inculcated in the students at SALIP.

We, at SALIP, offer B. Pharm, M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics), Pharm. D., Pharm. D. (PB) courses. To make students competitive and at par with their counterparts, we have well-equipped laboratories, world class library and excellent infrastructure. SALIP has knowledgeable and compassionate faculty members, creating a constructive teaching-learning environment, demonstrating professionalism. Classroom teaching is further aided with guest lectures/expert talks on functional areas of research and development, production, marketing and latest innovations so as to enhance the students’ exposure and industry readiness. International and national conferences, Industrial visits, Student exchange programs with foreign universities, Training and pre placement classes enrich the students’ overall knowledge and exposure.
